fen, the whole case is pathetic. The Bulger brothers had their way in Southie and more for over twenty years. Murder, murder for hire, extortion, prostitution of all types, ect., ect. He and his girlfriend have been on the lam for 16 years!

Howie Carr wrote two good books about the brothers, both of which are laugh out loud funny. Just b/c what the two got away with and that's Carr's style.

The Brothers Bulger: How They Terrorized and Corrupted Boston for a Quarter Century

Hitman: The Untold Story of Johnny Martorano: Whitey Bulger's Enforcer and the Most Feared Gangster in the Underworld

hey, Micah - yeah, I grew up in Mass in the 70's, and I know the Whitey Bulger story. I might have been pleased if they'd caught him 20 years ago, but I just don't feel much of anything about it now.

Ya growing up in Mass, we knew all about Whitey and I am thrilled they finally caught that pedophile murderer and maybe he gets what deserves. After reading Howie Carr's Bulger book and now halfway through his Hitman book about Johnny Martorano, there are not enough bad things that can happen to Whitey, anyone from beantown who is interested both Carr books are very good and non-political for those who do not share the same political views as Howie

Thanks, I have been looking for something different to break up all the fiction I'm reading, and that sounds like just the thing.

Thanks for the recommendation of the books, Micah!
They sound interesting. I have put these on reserve at my local library and will be checking them soon!
